Nikhil Kulkarni is serving as Head of City Engagement and Implementation for South and West Asia region at C40 Cities. He supports C40's engagements with cities, other partners and overall efforts for climate action implementation in the region.

Nikhil has about 15 years of experience in the urban development sector focused on cities and sub-national governments in various Asian countries that includes, climate action planning, structuring and leading climate projects, developing sectoral plans especially decarbonising the built environment, project management, implementing pilot projects and stakeholder engagements across wide range of urban sector.

He has a master’s degree in environmental engineering and diverse experience of working with leading nonprofits, industries, and research institutes in the climate space.
