Mr. R. Balaji is a seasoned business leader with nearly 30 years of experience in building businesses and brands across diverse sectors. Currently, he is the MD & CEO of PTC India Financial Services Limited, a leading infrastructure finance NBFC.

He spent over 17 years with the Mahindra Group in senior leadership roles, across Mahindra & Mahindra Limited and Mahindra Finance. At Mahindra Finance, he set up and built the SME lending business, and was the strategy and marketing head for the Mahindra Group’s financial services. Some key highlights were spearheading entry into the AMC business, and setting up key joint ventures with Manulife and a Sri Lankan NBFI, and leading FinTech investments. At M&M Limited, he was one of the founding members of the Group Strategy Office. He began his career in the consumer goods industry, holding sales and marketing roles at ITC Agrotech and Nestle.

Outside work, he is associated with Social Venture Partners and is a member of the Advisory Board of NIIT Foundation.
