Shrikant Vinayakrao Jaltare is a seasoned power sector professional with deep experience across utility operations, grid management, and renewable energy integration. He holds a BE (Electrical) along with advanced qualifications in management, finance, and law, and was a university merit holder in both engineering and management.

During his distinguished service with MSEDCL, he played a key role in several transformational initiatives, including the implementation of centralised billing and the introduction of kVAh-based billing, significantly strengthening revenue realisation from high-tension consumers. He has also led innovative manpower restructuring initiatives and served as Executive Director at the State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC), with strong expertise in intra-state grid operations, economic dispatch, and real-time electricity markets.

Currently, he is associated with MSEB Solar Agro Power Limited (MSAPL), where he leads the MSKVY 2.0 programme, focusing on large-scale integration of renewable energy with agricultural power supply. He brings a rare combination of technical, commercial, and regulatory insight to discussions on scaling decentralised and utility-led renewable energy solutions.

Outside of his professional work, he is an avid long-distance runner and maintains a disciplined fitness routine.
