Soumya Chaturvedula, Director with ICLEI South Asia, has over 20 years of professional experience in the Urban sector, focusing on Climate change, climate finance, governance frameworks, and strategic engagement. She works across multiple thematic areas, primarily focusing on climate solutions and sustainable urban development, and is responsible for project development, management, and execution of several multi-year and multi-city projects.

She provides strategic inputs to climate policy development at both national and sub-national levels across several countries in the Asia Pacific. Soumya has been instrumental in developing various tools and methodologies to address climate change at ICLEI and has successfully supported over 50 cities in their journey toward low-carbon, climate resilient development.

Soumya holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Business Administration.
